Ambitions

  

  

Continued personal development (CPD), for example attending coach education courses to maintain a coaching licence and remain up-to-date with the latest advancements in coaching. A long-term goal is to complete the highest tennis coaching qualification, the 'Professional Coaching Award' (PCA). This course is completed over either 1, 2, or 3 years and is comparable to graduating from a University degree. One criteria to starting the PCA is that you are coaching at least 4 high County/national level juniors.

 

As Head Coach at Storrington it is my ambition to consistently produce County standard players on a regular basis, if not County champions, who can compete at National level. 

 

  

Further development of the club programme with the aim of gaining LTA Clubmark accreditation. To get more players competing regularly with LTA ratings; develop extensive school-club links within the local area with more young children entering and participating in the Mini Tennis programme.

 

In addition, to create and support a club environment that promotes sportsmanship and fair play, providing tennis for all ages and abilities. It would also be advantageous to run an Open Junior Tournament suitable for all LTA rated players, thus raising the awareness of standards within the area for juniors at Storrington.
