Storrington Men's teams continued their recent progress up the County league tables this summer, with 4 out of 5 teams gaining promotion.

 

Rudi Donker, the clubs overall Men's Captain and 1st/2nd team Captain Scott Wolters have helped to bring continuity and stability to the teams. With Scott working hard to ensure that our strongest teams are available whenever possible.

 

The Men's 1st team moved from Division 3 to 2. This was the first year that they have been high enough to compete in the singles format of the county leagues. The players rose to the challenge of playing singles and very much enjoyed that format.

 

This has coincided with the introduction of more junior players being given a chance to compete in the Men's teams, something Scott is a big advocate of. This summer he handed debuts to Brother's Edward and Elliot Pretty in the 1st team.

 

This winter is set to see more juniors given the chance to gain match experience in adult club tennis, hopefully boosting their development into possible futute 1st team players.
